Roblox has recently launched some new parental controls, offering more transparency and management over young people’s accounts. The new features allow parents to block specific friends, as well as view more detailed insights into their child’s activity. Roblox has incorporated more real-time awareness that can be adapted depending on where parents feel most comfortable, and can be adjusted as their child’s digital experiences develop.
Parents who are worried about their children being on Roblox should not let them use it, the chief executive of the gigantic gaming platform has said.
Roblox has announced it will block under-13s from messaging others on the online gaming platform as part of new efforts to safeguard children.
Child users will not be able to send direct messages within games by default unless a verified parent or guardian gives them permission.

The games depict themes of isolation, cutting, and suicide with some including chatrooms where users engage in unmoderated discussions around hopelessness, depression, self-harm, and suicide.
