A report from a joint committee of MPs and Lords recommending what should be included in the Online Safety Bill is due in the next few days.

The landmark legislation is one of the first attempts to lay down in law a set of rules about how online platforms should deal with content.

Its remit is huge - too wide for some. But others say it doesn't go far enough.

It can allow the user to view someone else's messages, location, photos, files, and even eavesdrop on conversations in the phone's vicinity.

British supermarket Sainsbury’s says it has no plans to introduce COVID-19 pass policies in any of its stores, despite a widely shared video claiming otherwise online.

The clip, seen here, shows a man walking to the entrance of one of Sainsbury’s London stores, where he is greeted by two workers who tell him the shop is “only open for staff at the moment”.
