Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) recently launched Act Early, a safeguarding resource to prevent radicalisation in the community. It includes three videos which tell the real-life stories of people whose lives have been touched by radicalisation and extremism.
LGfL has worked with the CTP Comms team to create resources that unlock the potential of these stories for schools and youth centres. Each story has session slides and guidance notes so they can be used by experienced practitioners as well as those who may feel uncomfortable with the issues raised.

A manipulated video showing Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy in a conference call with Elon Musk is circulating online. The footage has been digitally altered to include white powder, which some social media users have said is cocaine on his desk.
"I guess they were just quite media savvy," he told counter-terrorism detectives. "They would put things out there [on social media] quite quickly that was easily picked up, yeah."
And so - for a potentially bored teenager living a humdrum life in suburban London - the war not only appeared like an exciting video game on social media, it came packaged with an appealing message that there was a role for everyone else.
